Junior Sales & Marketing Executive – Leadership Track
Manchester | Full Time | Immediate Start Available
Looking for a role where you can develop your skills and work towards a leadership position?
Playbook Direct is expanding its Manchester team and is looking for a Junior Sales & Marketing Executive to join our Leadership Track.
You’ll start by learning the fundamentals of customer engagement, sales and campaign delivery. As you gain experience, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility across team support, training and leadership.
No previous sales or management experience is required. Full training is provided.
What will you be doing?
The role starts with hands-on experience, giving you a good understanding of the customers, campaigns and day-to-day work behind the business.
You’ll be involved in:
- Representing well-known brands in face-to-face customer environments
- Speaking with customers and understanding their requirements
- Supporting sales and customer acquisition campaigns
- Working towards individual and team targets
- Taking part in training, coaching and team meetings
- Learning how campaigns are planned and delivered
- Supporting newer members of the team as you gain experience
- Developing your communication, organisation and leadership skills

Who would suit this role?
We’re not looking for someone who already has everything figured out.
This could suit someone with experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, sales or recruitment, as well as someone looking to start their career after university or move into a new industry.
You should be:

- Organised and reliable
- Keen to learn and take on feedback
- Motivated by personal and professional development
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Interested in progressing into a leadership position
The Leadership Track
The aim is to develop your skills gradually rather than expecting you to manage a team straight away.
Your development can include:
- Sales & Customer Engagement
- Learn the fundamentals and build confidence working with customers.

- Start helping newer team members and taking on additional responsibilities.
- Training & Leadership
- Develop your coaching, communication and team management skills.
- Campaign & Account Management
- Build a wider understanding of how campaigns and client relationships are managed.
