Location: Newcastle (minimum 3 days onsite or willingness to relocate)
We are looking for proactive, organised, and customer-focused individuals to join as Junior Service Managers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Working within our client's Shared Services function, you will support the management and continuous improvement of IT and business services across a range of client accounts. You will collaborate with clients, technical teams, and senior Service Managers to help maintain high levels of operational performance and customer satisfaction.
This role offers significant development opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in Service Management and Service Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of IT and business services to agreed service levels.
- Monitor and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assist with the coordination of incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Support service review and governance meetings.
- Produce service reports and performance updates for stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, delivery teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Escalate issues and risks where appropriate.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for service improvements.
- Support service transition and operational change activities.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and delivery teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and service performance.

Essential Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Customer-facing or customer service experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop.
- Comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Understanding of Service Management or Service Delivery concepts.
- Awareness of ITIL principles.
- Experience producing reports or analysing performance data.
- Experience supporting operational or business processes.
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be SC Eligible
- Have a minimum of five years' UK residency.
- Have no gaps of more than 30 consecutive days outside of the UK during that five-year period.
- Located in Newcastle (maximum 1 hour commute) or willing to relocate (a budget for relocation provided)
