We are partnering with a leading global commodities trading firm to recruit a Junior Settlements Analyst for its London-based operations team.
This role is ideal for someone with early experience in settlements, trade operations, or commodities who is looking to develop their career in an international trading environment. Please note: Professional fluency in German and English is essential for this position.
The Role:
- Managing physical OTC settlement activities across multiple products and regions
- Reviewing trade details, pricing, and settlement data
- Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
- Monitoring daily cash movements and resolving settlement discrepancies
- Completing reconciliations, settlement calculations, and FX settlements
- Working closely with Traders, Schedulers, and Middle Office teams
- Supporting process automation, system improvements, and new product onboarding

Your Background:
- At least one year of experience in settlements, trade operations, or a related back-office function
- Experience within commodities or energy trading is strongly preferred
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- A degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred
- Python, SQL, or VBA knowledge would be advantageous
