Junior Site Engineer
LUXURY HOME AUTOMATION

We've spent 20 years delivering some of the UK's most sophisticated home automation projects, with systems ranging from £100,000 to over £1 million, primarily across the Home Counties and South East.
We're CEDIA Members of Excellence, multiple industry award winners, and trusted CPD providers to BIID, SBID, and RIBA. We maintain a world-class experience centre and are members of the Cinergy professional development group.
We're looking for someone with solid hands-on skills who wants to learn from experienced engineers and develop a career in luxury home technology.
THE ROLE
You'll work alongside our senior engineers on high-end residential installations, learning the trade while contributing your practical skills from day one.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be installing equipment, running cables, mounting devices, and helping deliver systems that our clients rely on daily. You'll receive training and mentorship, but we need you to arrive with core practical competencies and a professional attitude.
Your responsibilities:
- Install ceiling speakers, in-wall speakers, and AV equipment
- Terminate and dress low-voltage cabling (Cat6, speaker cable, HDMI, etc.)
- Mount equipment to walls and in racks following detailed specifications
- Assist with equipment installation and system builds
- Work cleanly and carefully in high-end residential properties
- Support senior engineers with installations and commissioning
- Maintain tools and equipment responsibly
- Follow health and safety procedures on-site
- Communicate professionally with clients and other trades
- Present yourself professionally when working in client homes

What you'll learn:
We'll provide training in home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, Crestron), networking, AV integration, and system programming. This is a genuine development opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in premium home technology.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential skills:
- Practical experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to terminate cables (networking, speaker cable, coax)
- Experience mounting equipment, dressing cables neatly, and working to a high finish standard
- Site experience (ideally 2+ years in electrical, AV, or construction trades)
- Comfortable working at height (ladders, scaffolding)
- Full UK driving licence
Background that works well:
- Electrician's mate with site experience
- Junior AV installer or technician
- Smart home installer
- Data cabling technician
- Anyone with solid hands-on building/electrical trade experience who's interested in technology
Professional qualities:
- Reliable and punctual

Desirable:
- Any exposure to home automation, networking, or AV systems

- Experience working in occupied homes or finished properties
LOCATION & TRAVEL
Based from our showroom in Sunbury-on-Thames, with projects primarily across the Home Counties and South East. Daily travel to site locations is required.

- Salary: £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience
- Company van (take home every night)
