About DS.Emotion
We are DS.Emotion, an independent place branding, marketing and activation agency. In simple terms, we help town centres, shopping destinations and mixed-use places across the UK attract visitors, build communities and stay relevant.
For over 30 years, we’ve worked with developers, landowners, local authorities and destination teams to create authentic place brands and bring them to life through social media, campaigns, events and on-the-ground activations. Our work helps places thrive both commercially and socially, creating destinations that people genuinely want to visit, spend time in and return to.
We’ve branded and marketed some of the UK’s most exciting residential, retail and commercial destinations and are proud to have won national awards for our work.
Who we work with
Our clients include:
- Leading UK property developers, landowners and pension funds
- Local authorities, LEPs and BIDs delivering place marketing and inward investment campaigns
The DS.Emotion London team primarily supports retail and mixed-use destinations, delivering brand, marketing and activation programmes that engage visitors, retailers and local communities, and ultimately bring places to life.
The team
We’re a creative, strategic and collaborative agency, offering expertise across brand consultancy, strategy, creative campaigns, digital, events and physical activations.
The London team is a close-knit group of 12, made up of account handlers, strategists, designers, social media specialists, and a Place Activation (events) team. We work hard, support each other and genuinely enjoy what we do, and we also make the most of London with regular socials outside of office hours.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role
As a Junior Social Content Executive, you’ll help bring our destinations to life across social media. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll be creating, filming, editing and delivering short-form content that showcases our places, events, retailers and communities.
You’ll work closely with our Social Media and Place Activation teams, supporting multiple destinations and campaigns, from planning content ideas to capturing footage on-site and responding quickly to trends and live moments.
Retail and town centres are evolving rapidly, and our job is to ensure the places we work with don’t just keep up, but lead the way. Through award-winning pop-up strategies, community engagement initiatives, Pride events and destination campaigns, we create experiences that go far beyond a traditional shopping trip. Social Media content plays a huge role in telling those stories.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is excited to learn, get stuck in and build a future in social media and digital marketing.
What you’ll be doing day to day
- Creating engaging, on-brand social content that showcases our destinations
- Shooting and editing short-form video and stills for Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Adapting content to suit different platforms, formats and best practices
- Visiting UK-based destinations to capture content, working with on-site teams and retailers
- Collaborating with social, events, creative and client services teams
- Responding to trends, events and live moments in a timely and brand-appropriate way
- Contributing creative ideas in brainstorm sessions and pitching new concepts
- Reviewing basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, views) and applying learnings
- Supporting client reporting with content performance insights
- Managing multiple briefs and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
