About Septem
Septem is a performance running brand built around one thing: Elevated performance, built for the long run. Born from marathon and long-distance running, elite performance and high-performance product development, we exist for runners who are serious about going further, faster and Pushing Past Possible.
As we expand across the UK and EU, we’re looking for a Content Creation & Social Media Specialist who genuinely loves running and understands the sport, its culture and its community.
The Role
This is a hands-on creative role at the heart of the Septem brand. You’ll create content around running, racing, training, athletes, products and the people who make the sport what it is — from marathon build-ups and race days to everyday training and the pursuit of the next PB.
You’ll be responsible for taking ideas from concept to publication: shooting, editing and creating social-first content that makes runners stop, engage and want to be part of Septem. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just understand social media — they understand runners.
What You’ll Do
- Create and execute Septem’s social content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Strava and other relevant platforms
- Shoot and edit short-form video, photography and social-first content
- Create content around athletes, races, training, products and the wider running community
- Develop creative concepts, campaigns and recurring social series
- Capture authentic content at races, training sessions, events and behind the scenes
- Work with athletes, creators and runners to tell compelling stories
- Manage the content calendar and day-to-day social channels
- Spot emerging trends and formats that can work within the running world
- Monitor performance and use insights to improve content and engagement
- Help shape Septem’s visual identity and tone of voice

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We’re Looking For
Most importantly, you need to be genuinely passionate about running.
You might be a content creator who runs. A runner who has developed strong creative skills. Or someone who simply lives and breathes the sport and knows what makes the running community tick.
You should be:
- Passionate about running — from 5Ks and PBs to marathons and long-distance training
- Creative, ambitious and self-motivated
- Confident shooting and editing video and photography
- Experienced in creating social media content
- Able to turn an idea into compelling content from start to finish
- Naturally plugged into social trends and digital culture
- A strong storyteller with a good eye for quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growing brand
- Commercially aware and interested in what drives engagement and growth

You do not need to be an elite runner. But you should understand why runners obsess over training, racing, splits, shoes, recovery, PBs and the next goal.
Why Septem?
This is an opportunity to help shape the voice of an ambitious performance running brand as it grows internationally.
You’ll work closely with athletes, runners and the wider Septem team, creating content from inside the sport rather than simply reporting on it. If running is a genuine part of your life and you want to combine that passion with your creativity, this could be the role for you.
