The Role
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Junior Social Media Executive to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their social media career who is passionate about content creation, social trends and digital marketing.
You'll support the delivery of social media activity across a range of client accounts, helping to create engaging content, draft captions, schedule posts and assist with content shoots. You'll be eager to learn, highly organised and excited to develop your skills in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Film, edit and publish short-form video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Support the creation of engaging social content across multiple client accounts
- Draft social media captions that align with client tone of voice and campaign objectives
- Schedule and publish content across social media platforms using tools such as Meta Business Suite and Brandwatch
- Assist with content planning and the development of monthly content calendars
- Monitor social media trends, viral content and platform updates, bringing fresh ideas to the team
- Attend client events, shoots and meetings where required to capture content and support content creation
- Work closely with colleagues across social, PR, digital and design teams to deliver integrated campaigns
- Ensure content is accurate, on-brand and delivered to agreed deadlines
- Support the wider team with community management and basic reporting where required
- Assist with sourcing or creating supporting assets for social media content

Skills & Experience
Essential Skills
- Enthusiastic about social media, content creation and digital marketing
- Confident filming and editing short-form video content
- Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to write engaging social media captions tailored to different audiences
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Creative mindset with a willingness to contribute ideas
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Canva, Affinity Designer or Adobe Creative Suite
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting
- Experience writing blog content or longer-form copy
- Knowledge of Meta Business Suite and social scheduling tools
- Experience creating content for personal, academic or commercial social media channels

Experience Required
- A degree, relevant qualification, internship or some practical experience in social media, marketing, communications or a related field
- Examples of social media content creation, whether through employment, freelance work, university projects or personal channels
- Agency experience is beneficial but not essential

- Delivering engaging, on-brand content across client accounts
- Consistently producing high-quality social media posts and short-form videos
- Supporting the smooth planning and scheduling of content across multiple clients
- Demonstrating growth in content creation, copywriting and social media management skills
- Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Contributing ideas that help clients increase engagement and achieve their objectives
