Junior Software Developer

Lytham St Annes (Hybrid)

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Software Developer to join an established organisation as part of a growing Technology team. You will be working alongside experienced developers and technology professionals, you’ll gain hands-on experience across software development, cloud technologies, APIs, system integration and application support. The organisation is currently progressing from several established legacy systems towards a more modern, cloud-based technology environment, providing an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to both existing and emerging technologies.

Skills & Experience

  • Completed a software development apprenticeship/degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A good understanding of software development principles and programming concepts.
  • Experience with C#,.NET or another modern programming language.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • An understanding of APIs, integrations and how different systems communicate.
  • Experience using source control, ideally Git.
  • A genuine interest in software development and a strong desire to continue learning and developing professionally.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to REST APIs, Microsoft Azure or CI/CD.
  • Experience with VB.NET, Windows Forms or legacy Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge or exposure to retail, ecommerce or business systems.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • An understanding of cloud technologies, system integration or automated deployment processes.
