We are looking for a Junior C# .NET Developer to join a growing technology team developing and supporting high-performance, real-time software systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career developer who is passionate about software development and wants to build their career working with C#,.NET and complex, high-volume systems.
You will work alongside experienced developers and gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle, contributing to systems where performance, reliability and scalability are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance and maintain applications using C# and.NET.
- Contribute to the development of high-performance and real-time software systems.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Work alongside senior developers to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Develop new features and functionality based on business and technical requirements.
- Work with databases and SQL to retrieve and manage application data.
- Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot production systems.
- Collaborate with developers, testers and other technical teams.
- Learn and apply best practices around software development, performance and system reliability.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong educational background - At least a 2:1 in STEM subject
- Commercial experience developing with C#.
- Good understanding of .NET /.NET Core.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A genuine interest in developing high-quality software.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a development team.

Desirable:
- Experience with ASP.NET Core or Web APIs.
- Knowledge of SQL Server.
- Exposure to multithreading, asynchronous programming or distributed systems.
- Experience with Git and modern development practices.
- Understanding of performance optimisation and low-latency systems.
- Exposure to automated testing and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
