Junior Software Engineer

Location: Remote (UK)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Training: Full Training Provided

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Software Engineer/ Developer to support the development, testing and maintenance of software applications. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an early-career developer looking to build practical experience and progress within a supportive development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and maintaining software applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
  • Support debugging, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Work with senior developers on new features and improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews and development meetings.
  • Assist with database and API integrations.
  • Investigate and resolve software issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation and development records.

Requirements

  • Basic programming knowledge in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java or C#.
  • Understanding of software development principles and version control.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and development tools.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Degree, bootcamp, qualification or relevant practical experience is beneficial.
  • Previous commercial experience is desirable but not essential.
