About Creventa
Creventa removes the manual admin between a booking being confirmed and the event happening.
Hotels, stadiums, restaurants and event venues still run on spreadsheets, PDFs and endless email chains to collect food choices, allergies, drink pre-orders and seating plans. We replace all of that with one fully white-labelled platform, so the guest only ever sees the venue's brand and the venue gets every report at the touch of a button with zero data entry.
It works. Our venues save 4 to 6 hours per event, cut food waste by around 20% and see an average 23% uplift in pre-ordered drinks spend. We handle everything from a 10-person boardroom lunch to a 1,100-person gala dinner, and event venues still run on spreadsheets, PDFs, and endless email chains to collect food choices, allergies, drink pre-orders, and guest details.
Our customers include major international hotel groups, premium restaurant groups, football stadiums, contract caterers, golf resorts and independent venues across the UK and beyond. We are growing quickly and shipping new features every week.
The Role
We are looking for a Junior Software Tester to join us and grow into the role. We would consider full- or part-time.
You do not need previous QA experience. You do not need a computer science degree. What you need is a sharp eye, a stubborn streak and the kind of brain that pokes at things until they break.

You will start by testing new features by hand, learning the product inside out and writing up what you find. From there, you will learn to use AI-powered QA and testing tools, which are changing this job faster than almost any other role in software. Someone starting out today, learning testing and AI tooling side by side, can get very good very quickly. That is the opportunity here.
You will work as part of the development team, with senior developers and the wider team setting direction and reviewing your work. You will be supported and trained throughout, and because we are a small team, your findings will be visible and acted on from week one.
What you will be doing
From day one, you'll do both halves of the job side by side.
- Testing by hand
- Testing new features before they reach customers, on desktop and mobile
- Exploratory testing, where you go looking for the thing nobody thought to check
- Writing bugs up clearly enough that a developer can reproduce them without asking you twice
- Checking that things still work after changes, across different browsers and devices
- Being the first real user of every new feature and speaking up when something feels confusing
Putting AI tools to work
- Using AI-based QA tools to write and generate test cases rather than typing every one out by hand
- Building and running automated checks with AI-assisted tooling, and learning to read what they produce
- Turning bug reports, tickets and specs into test coverage with AI doing the heavy lifting
- Using AI to widen regression coverage across browsers, devices and screen sizes
- Prompting well, then checking the output properly, because an AI-generated test that passes for the wrong reason is worse than no test at all
- Trying new tools as they appear and telling us honestly which ones are worth keeping

Essential
- Genuinely careful attention to detail. This is the whole job
- Curiosity. You want to know why something broke, not just that it did
- Clear written communication. A good bug report is a piece of writing
- Real interest in AI tools and how they can make you faster
- Persistence. Testing means doing the boring bit properly and then doing it again
- Willingness to learn quickly and ask questions
Helpful, but not required
- Any exposure to software testing, whether at work, on a course or in your own time
- ISTQB Foundation or similar, or an interest in working towards it
- Basic understanding of how websites and apps are built
- Experience using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in your day-to-day
- Hospitality or events experience. You would understand our customers immediately
- Any background where precision mattered: proofreading, lab work, accounts, aviation, healthcare admin
