TM-Legal Junior Solicitor Opportunity

TM-Legal, part of Perch Group, aims to lead the UK debt purchase and collection industry by using cutting-edge technology to drive ethical, efficient, and data-driven debt resolution.

What We Are Looking For

TM Legal seeks a UK-based junior solicitor to strengthen our defended litigation capability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the UK Legal Team split between Manchester and Blackpool offices, reporting to the Head of Legal Practice (HOLP).
  • Work with the HOLP to manage and supervise all of TM Legal’s defended litigation activities in the UK and South Africa, including quality assurance checks, case strategy reviews, and legal documentation reviews.
  • Support the review and progression of defended litigation matters and enforcement applications, including supporting the HOLP with the review and signature of court pleadings and other filed documents.
  • Manage the expanded SME B2B debt recovery services and associated litigation.
  • Assist senior colleagues with technical assistance to case managers and colleagues in the UK and South Africa.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with approximately 2-3 years PQE.
  • Experience in litigation, debt recovery, financial services litigation, or a similar high-volume legal environment would be beneficial.
  • Confident in reviewing pleadings, evidence, and litigation correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within supervised processes.
  • Comfortable supporting operational change, process improvement, and technology-enabled workflows.

Desirable Requirements

  • Supervision or management experience.
