Junior Freelance Sound Engineer (Monthly Open Mic)
We’re looking for a junior freelance sound engineer to run the sound for our monthly open mic night.
It’s a relaxed, friendly gig and would be ideal for someone at university, recently graduated, or with around 1 year of relevant experience or training who wants to get more live sound experience.
The gig:
- Once a month
- Runs approximately 6:30pm until 11:30pm
- Mostly solo artists and duos
- Mostly acoustic/electro-acoustic acts, with some performers bringing their own amps
- Run the live sound for the evening
- £50 per night

You don’t need years of experience, but you do need to understand the basics of live sound and be confident operating a mixing desk. This might include a relevant university course, degree, recent training or similar experience.
We're looking for someone who is:
- 18+ years
- Friendly and good with people
- Calm and confident in a live environment
- Reliable and able to stick to timings
- Comfortable thinking on their feet
- Keen to build their live sound experience

It's a super chill monthly gig and a good opportunity for someone early in their sound engineering career to get regular live experience.
