Are you a culinary enthusiast looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your talent? Look no further! Firmdale Hotels invites you to become our newest Junior Sous Chef at the prestigious Number Sixteen Hotel.

As a Junior Sous Chef at Number Sixteen Hotel, you will be at the heart of our culinary operations, contributing to the seamless delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Your role will involve collaborating with our talented kitchen team to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your culinary expertise to assist in the preparation and execution of breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating confidence and composure during peak periods.
  • Lead by example, supervising and motivating a small team to achieve culinary excellence.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each dish meets our exacting standards of presentation and taste.
  • Take ownership of stock management and ordering for your section, optimising inventory levels and minimising waste.
  • Showcase your organisational and communication skills, effectively liaising with colleagues to coordinate kitchen activities seamlessly.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to uphold the hotel's culinary reputation and exceed guest expectations.

What you Need:

  • Previous experience in a similar culinary role, ideally within a high-pressure environment.
  • A genuine passion for food and a dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A team player mentality, with a willingness to support your colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen.
