Company Description
Searcys are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join the team at The Royal College of Surgeons. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be required to deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will not only support the Executive/Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the venue but also support the kitchen brigade.
The View is a stunning venue located at the heart of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, founded in 1800 by Royal Charter and serves as the professional home of surgery in both England and worldwide.
The View is open for hire to host various events such as meetings, conferences, and weddings. It boasts spectacular views of London and includes a spacious outdoor terrace for guests to enjoy during the summer season.

Job Description
The Junior Sous Chef Role is mainly Monday to Friday with a few evening shifts and is a great opportunity for someone to join the department.
As a Junior Sous Chef at RCS, you will be required to be adaptable as the venue is diverse and at any time will have multiple events happening across a number of floors. You will be supporting the Executive and Head Chef to manage the day-to-day service, whilst leading and mentoring the junior team to deliver high-end events and exceptional quality food.
Salary: Base Salary £38,000-£40,000 Dependent on experience.
45 hour week
Monday To Friday - Occasional Weekends
Qualifications
- Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
- Exemplary kitchen management practices and being an ambassador for Searcys legacy brand.
- Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus.
- Create a professional working environment for the team ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met.
- Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef in Events, Hotels, or Restaurants.
