Location: One of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds, Buckland Manor is set in ten acres of stunning grounds. With 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes, and a member of Relais & Châteaux, Buckland Manor offers employees the opportunity to work within a traditional, yet friendly English country house hotel.

SERVICE CHARGE-We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel-every penny received is paid out to the team.

Service charge can be in the region of £305 a month (around £3,600 per year) over and above base pay, for a full time employee.

The hotel may be able to offer on-site staff accommodation in order to help the newest members of the team settle into life at the hotel and local area, plus free parking is available on-site.

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen brigade.

About the Role

Working closely with our Head Chef and senior kitchen team, you will play an integral role in delivering outstanding dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and creativity.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Chef de Partie ready to take the next step, or an existing Junior Sous Chef looking to develop within a prestigious luxury hotel.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Leading and motivating sections during service.
  • Preparing and presenting dishes to 3 AA Rosette standards.
  • Helping to train, mentor, and develop junior chefs.
  • Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Contributing ideas for seasonal menus and daily specials.
  • Ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail across every plate.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a quality restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • A genuine passion for seasonal British produce and classical cooking techniques.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership qualities.
  • Pride in delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.
  • A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
