Junior Sous Chef Wanted

We are currently seeking an experienced Junior Sous Chef!

You’ll bring your vibrant personality and brilliant skills to our flagship Rotunda Restaurant featuring on-site butchery and bakery, and a live fire over embers and coal kitchen.

Green and Fortune is an independent, owner-led business with a passion for people and hospitality, and a focus for seasonal products in line with our farm-to-fork philosophy. We're looking for someone who embraces the same values!

Rotunda is part of something bigger in Kings Place, the ideal candidate will be excited to offer guidance and support to the events kitchen, too!

At Green and Fortune, we take pride of the connections we make through the moments and memories we create.

What Makes You Our Junior Sous Chef?

  • Lead the kitchen through preparation, service and close, making sure every section is ready and service runs smoothly.
  • Work hands-on across the kitchen, supporting the team wherever needed and keeping food quality, presentation and timing consistently high.
  • Support and develop junior chefs, sharing your knowledge of recipes, techniques, food safety and kitchen standards.
  • Lead briefings and help organise the team around menus, specials, dietary requirements and the needs of each service.
  • Keep on top of stock, ingredient usage and waste, helping the kitchen operate efficiently and minimise unnecessary costs.
  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards throughout every shift.
  • Step up and take responsibility for the kitchen when the Sous Chef or Head Chef is away.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
