Junior Sous Chef – Late Evenings

Hokus Pokus – Cocktail Bar

Kings Cross

The Megaro Collection is now recruiting a Junior Sous Chef for Hokus Pokus, our extraordinary cocktail bar located under the iconic roof of The Megaro Hotel in Kings Cross St Pancras. Hokus Pokus is taking a strong pan-Asian direction, with a food offering focused on fresh, exciting and contemporary bar snacks designed to accompany and complement our cocktails.

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef with a strong level of independence and experience working in a standalone environment. The successful candidate will be confident managing their section, working effectively without constant supervision and maintaining consistently high standards throughout service.

The Junior Sous Chef will be a very well organised person with good time management; passionate, capable of multitasking and prioritising, and very professional. Reliability and maturity are two of the most important traits for this position.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
