About the Role
As Junior Studio Photographer for Ecommerce you will be playing a key role within the Creative team at Finisterre, producing high-quality product imagery, bringing products to life across our B2B and digital channels. Within the role you will be responsible for:
- Pre-Production – sample management and pre-production planning.
- Production – lighting and photographing flat lays and details of all samples.
- Post Production – editing, colour matching and workflow management.
A significant part of the role will be the organisation and management of our photographic assets. You’ll be responsible for accurately tagging, uploading and maintaining imagery within our digital asset management platform, ensuring assets are easy to find, correctly categorised and available to teams across the business. You’ll also take ownership of the organisation and care of product samples within the studio, helping to ensure the photography process runs efficiently and effectively.
Working closely with the wider Creative team, you’ll help maintain a consistent visual standard across our product imagery while supporting the Senior Photographer on wider creative projects and image post production.
Key Responsibilities
- Shoot high-quality flat lays and details, following brand guidelines for consistency for B2B, ecommerce and product display pages.
- Take responsibility for the organisation and tracking of B2B photographic samples.
- Own the organisation, upload, tagging, metadata of all photographic assets to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform across the department.
- Full edit, colour match/correct, retouch and size/export imagery to a consistently high standard. Prepare and deliver final assets in the required formats.
- Assist the Senior Photographer on seasonal shoots by supporting with sample management/steaming, equipment preparation, lighting setups and post production.
- Maintain studio photographic equipment. Ensure kit is used correctly, maintained and stored appropriately while helping to keep the studio organised and ready for production.
- Manage your own photography workload and asset delivery, working to agreed deadlines and ensuring assets are managed appropriately.
- Work closely with the Senior Photographer, Creative, Marketing, Buying and Wholesale teams to understand requirements and deliver imagery that meets both creative and commercial needs.
- Develop a strong understanding of Finisterre’s visual identity and apply this consistently across all product photography, ensuring garments are represented accurately, while maintaining a distinctive and on-brand aesthetic.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical photography and editing skills with excellent organisation, attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach to studio production.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge and experience in studio photography, with an understanding of camera operation, exposure and technical camera capabilities.
- A technical understanding of studio lighting, with the ability to confidently set up, operate and maintain consistent lighting setups.
- Experience photographing products, ideally including flat lays and garment details, with the ability to produce accurate and consistent imagery across a range of products.
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to retouch, colour correct and colour match imagery, as well as resize and export assets to the required specifications.
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to represent garments accurately and consistently, following established Finisterre visual guidelines.
- Understanding of accurate colour representation and the importance of colour matching within commercial product photography.
- Highly organised and methodical, with a strong understanding of efficient image workflows, file naming, storage and archiving. Able to manage assets accurately from capture through to final delivery.
- Able to manage day-to-day tasks efficiently and accurately, maintaining clear records and working consistently across a high volume of product imagery.
- Able to manage their own workload, prioritise tasks and work effectively to agreed deadlines within a busy studio environment.
- Comfortable with the practical requirements of a busy photography studio, including preparing and steaming garments, handling samples, maintaining equipment and keeping the studio organised.
- A positive, reliable team player who communicates effectively and enjoys working closely with photographers, Creative teams and wider business stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to learning new techniques, equipment and workflows, with a genuine interest in developing photography and post-production skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within a professional photography, e-commerce, fashion or product studio.
- Experience working with Capture One
- Experience working within a high-volume commercial photography workflow.
- Experience managing large-scale image libraries or structured commercial asset workflows.
- Experience using a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform, including metadata, tagging and categorisation.
- Experience photographing apparel or fashion products.
- Previous experience working as a photographic assistant.
