Role Description
This is a full-time Junior Surveyor role based in Central Bedfordshire with a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site and office work with some flexibility to work from home. The Junior Surveyor will support senior surveyors in measuring and valuing works, preparing take-offs, assisting with quotations, and updating cost and progress reports. Typical tasks include:

The role involves liaising with site managers and office teams, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the smooth financial and contractual management of drylining projects. The Junior Surveyor will also assist in preparing documentation for tenders and supporting basic contract administration under supervision.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities suitable for surveying and cost management tasks.
- Basic understanding of construction or building practices, ideally within drylining or interior fit-out environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to learn relevant surveying or estimating software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with site and office teams.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to sites within Central Bedfordshire and occasionally beyond, with a full driving license preferred.
- Relevant education such as a qualification or coursework in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Motivation to learn, openness to mentoring, and a commitment to building a career in surveying within the construction industry.
