Bureau Veritas is seeking a motivated Junior Sustainability Consultant to join our industry-leading Corporate ESG Consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced sustainability professionals, supporting major organisations with ESG assurance, sustainability reporting, data verification, and advisory projects.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of industries, work directly with clients, and continue developing your technical and consulting skills within a supportive, collaborative environment.

The Role

As a Junior Sustainability Consultant, you will support the delivery of a variety of ESG assurance and advisory projects while contributing to the growth and success of the team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of sustainability and ESG consulting projects across a range of sectors
  • Assisting with sustainability report assurance and non-financial data verification activities
  • Conducting research, data analysis, and benchmarking on ESG-related topics
  • Supporting the preparation of client reports, presentations, and project deliverables
  • Building and maintaining positive client relationships throughout project delivery
  • Participating in client meetings, workshops, and site visits
  • Monitoring developments in ESG regulations, reporting frameworks, and industry best practice
  • Managing project tasks effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Providing administrative and project support to the wider team as required
  • Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility

About You

We're looking for someone who is eager to build on their existing knowledge and experience within sustainability, ESG, environmental, or consulting-related fields.

You will be a strong communicator with excellent analytical skills and a genuine passion for helping organisations advance their sustainability performance.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • An interest in ESG reporting, sustainability assurance, responsible business, and corporate sustainability
  • Experience gained through consultancy, industry, internships, placements, or employment within a sustainability-related environment
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project teams
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and a desire to learn and develop professionally
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, ESG frameworks, or assurance processes would be advantageous
