Annual Base Salary Rate: £28,000 - £30,000
About this role
The Junior Sustaining Engineer plays a key role in minimising product downtime, troubleshooting technical issues, resolving component life cycle issues and driving continuous improvement and productivity activities within both the manufacturing and engineering environment. Working with engineers, operators, and quality personnel, the technician helps sustain products while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across engineering, production and quality functions.
- Understanding of conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Understanding electronic circuits and ability to review electronic component datasheets.
- Analysing electronic circuit design and identifying key characteristics to find suitable alternative components.
- Finding cost saving opportunities through circuit or component replacement and process improvement.
- Conducting product and component factory release notes.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- GCE's or equivalent in English and Math's.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electronic engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
