Junior Technical Account Manager - Cyber Security - £30-38K - Remote

The Opportunity

Due to continued expansion, an established and growing cyber security consultancy is looking to appoint a Junior Technical Account Manager to join its commercial and client-facing team.

This position is ideally suited to a graduate, junior professional, or someone in the early stages of their career who is interested in combining technology, cyber security, client management, and commercial responsibilities.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients from an early stage, supporting the management of customer accounts, responding to enquiries, and helping clients understand which cyber security services are appropriate for their organization.

The company delivers specialist cyber security consultancy and technical security services to organizations with complex security and assurance requirements. You will work alongside experienced cyber security consultants, technical specialists, project teams, and commercial colleagues, giving you significant exposure to both the technical and business sides of the cyber security industry.

This is not simply an administrative sales position. You will be given ownership of defined client and commercial activities while receiving training, guidance, and support from more experienced members of the team as your knowledge develops.

The role offers a flexible working environment and strong opportunities for professional and career development. The position can be predominantly home-based, although occasional travel to client locations will be required alongside attendance at the company's head office approximately 1-2 days per month. Additional office attendance will be expected during the initial probation and onboarding period to support training, knowledge development, and integration with the wider business.

The Role

As a Junior Technical Account Manager, you will help manage relationships with existing and prospective clients while coordinating opportunities throughout the commercial process.

You will handle day-to-day customer enquiries, maintain accurate sales and account information, coordinate meetings and technical discussions, and assist customers in identifying cyber security services that meet their technical, regulatory, and business requirements. Over time, you will build an understanding of individual customer environments, security challenges, assurance obligations, and wider organizational objectives. This knowledge will enable you to have increasingly informed conversations with customers and help identify appropriate cyber security solutions and services.

You will take responsibility for a range of activities throughout the sales lifecycle. These will include managing incoming enquiries, updating CRM and pipeline information, arranging meetings, coordinating technical scoping sessions, producing quotations and proposals, and assisting with tenders, bids, and ITT submissions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
