At Echo House, we specialise in Project Management, Creative & Technical Design, Artworking, Digital Content, Print, Experiential Brand Activation, and Sustainable Creative Production. We create unforgettable brand experiences for some of the world's most recognised businesses, and we're looking for a Junior Technical Designer to join our talented and growing team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Technical Designer looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative creative environment.

Working alongside our experienced Design, Project Management and Fabrication teams, you will help transform creative concepts into buildable, production-ready solutions. You'll gain hands-on experience creating CAD models, technical drawings, prototypes and presentations, while learning how projects progress from concept through to manufacture and installation.

Full training and support will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone with a strong technical foundation who is eager to learn and develop their career.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assisting with the creation of CAD models from client briefs and design concepts.
  • Producing accurate technical drawings and specifications.
  • Supporting senior designers in developing concepts through to production.
  • Working closely with Design, Project Management, Artworking and Fabrication teams.
  • Assisting with prototyping and development of live projects.
  • Learning how to interpret technical packs and client specifications.
  • Supporting project presentations and technical reviews.
  • Attending site surveys and assisting with installations when required.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Promoting sustainable working practices across projects and operations.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the design department.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • ✅ Experience using or knowledge of SolidWorks, CAD, Fusion 360 or similar design software
  • ✅ Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • ✅ Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
  • ✅ Excellent attention to detail
  • ✅ Good organisational and time management skills
  • ✅ Ability to interpret technical information and drawings
  • ✅ Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ✅ Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • ✅ Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Cinema 4D, KeyShot, rendering software or 3D printing
  • Knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing or workshop processes
  • Interest in sustainable materials and production methods
  • Electrical or electronics knowledge
  • Previous experience within creative production, exhibitions, events, retail displays or experiential marketing
