Junior Technical Sales & Projects Coordinator - Pollution Monitors UK
Pollution Monitors Ltd design, supply, install, commission and service fixed gas detections. We are Safecontractor accredited for Health and Safety and ISO9001 for approved for quality assurance. We pride ourselves on providing a high-quality service based on well qualified and trained staff, good safety practices and attention to detail. We trade with the commercial sector only i.e. no domestic trading. Started in 1986 as a family business growing steadily year on year prior to be acquired by Vesta Software Group in January 2026.
The Junior Technical Sales & Projects Coordinator supports the preparation of quotations for gas detection systems, assists The Project Co-ordinator and AutoCAD team which includes project documentation and technical information.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within technical sales, project coordination, and engineering support. The successful candidate will receive mentoring and structured training to develop their understanding of Stage 3 and Stage 4 design processes, technical documentation, and gas detection system layouts. Previous AutoCAD experience is preferred but can be further developed within the role.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Quotation Management
- Prepare quotations for gas detection systems and associated products.
- Review customer specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
- Support the preparation of technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.
- Follow up quotations and assist in converting opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Maintain CRM records and quotation pipeline updates.
- Identify opportunities for additional products and services.
Contractor & Project Liaison
- Support communication with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Assist in gathering and coordinating technical information for project submissions.
- Attend site project meetings where required.
- Support the resolution of technical queries and requests for information.
- Help ensure project documentation is issued accurately and within required timescales.
- Learn the requirements and processes associated with Stage 3 and Stage 4 project design deliverables through on-the-job mentoring.

Technical Drawing & Design Support
- Assist with the production and amendment of AutoCAD drawings for gas detection system layouts.
- Support the review of drawings against project specifications and design requirements.
- Coordinate drawing revisions and issue updated documentation.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control records.
- Receive training and mentoring to progressively develop competency in Stage 3 and Stage 4 design drawings.
Planning & Coordination
- Assist in planning workloads to meet quotation and project deadlines.
- Support the coordination of multiple enquiries and projects simultaneously.
- Liaise with internal departments to obtain required technical and commercial information.
- Support project handovers to installation and commissioning teams.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries.
- Provide basic technical product information and support.
- Escalate complex technical matters to senior team members when required.
Key Competencies
Technical
- Interest in technical products and engineering solutions.
- Gas detection systems knowledge (or willingness to learn).
- AutoCAD knowledge or experience preferred.
- Understanding of construction, M&E, or technical drawings desirable.
- Technical quotation preparation and project administration skills.
- Good document control and organisational skills.
Commercial
- Customer-focused approach.
- Awareness of sales processes and opportunity management.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Commercial awareness and willingness to develop negotiation skills.
