Junior Test Engineer
📍 Hybrid | Multiple UK Office Locations
💰 Up to £45,000 + Annual Performance Bonus
🔒 Must be eligible for Security Clearance
CPS Group are supporting a leading IT consultancy with the recruitment of a Junior Test Engineer to join a secure government programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated tester looking to develop their automation skills while working alongside experienced QA professionals on large-scale digital projects.
The Role:
- Support the Test Lead with the planning and execution of testing activities.
- Create, maintain and execute manual and automated test scripts.
- Identify, log and retest defects through to resolution.
- Support SIT, Regression and UAT testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts and key stakeholders.
- Produce test documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Essential Experience:
- Exposure to Ranorex and TypeScript.
- Commercial experience or a solid understanding of software testing and the SDLC.
- Experience writing test cases and executing manual or automated tests.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Keen to learn and develop within an experienced QA team.

Desirable:
- Experience with C#.
- Agile delivery experience.
- Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools.
- Previous experience within a regulated or public sector environment.
