Job Title: Junior Town Planner
Location: Lancaster
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading national housebuilder in the appointment of a Junior Town Planner to join their planning team in Lancaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional looking to develop their career within a major residential development business. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of planning projects and work alongside experienced planners and development professionals across the region.
The Role
As a Junior Town Planner, You Will
- Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
- Support the planning team in progressing residential development projects.
- Undertake planning research and site assessments.
- Monitor local planning policies and emerging development plans.
- Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the management of planning conditions and obligations.
- Provide planning support throughout the development process.
- Work closely with land, technical and development teams.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related subject.
- Ideally working towards MRTPI or keen to progress towards chartership.
- Experienced within a planning consultancy, local authority or housebuilder environment.
- Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
- Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.
- Keen to develop their career within the housebuilding and development sector.
- Able to work effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
