The Team
We are looking for a Trading Assistant / Junior Trade Support to join our Trading team in Thame.
Our Trading team is responsible for trading grains, oilseeds, pulses, and animal feed products within the UK market and internationally. The team operates across a wide range of activities including trading, risk management, logistics planning, trade execution, and supporting origination and sales teams.

Working closely with consumers, brokers, and trading houses, the team also collaborates regularly with trading colleagues around the world, particularly within our Geneva office, ensuring informed commercial decisions are made across the business.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide essential support to the trading function through a variety of analytical and operational activities, including:
- Daily reconciliation of commodity and currency positions
- Producing position audit reports to help traders monitor market movements
- Contract entry and maintenance, including amendments where required
- Supporting the production of monthly profit and loss reports for the procurement team
- Compiling industry statistics and market analysis for internal stakeholders and external customers
- Providing broad trading support across the team as required

Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team
- Commercial mindset with a keen interest in markets
- Degree educated or equivalent relevant work experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Previous exposure to a trading environment or knowledge of the agricultural industry
