Otala.Markets is a UK-based specialist investment bank with over a decade of experience creating and issuing structured investment products. Our certificates are listed on venues such as Borsa Italiana’s Cert-X. We are now building a scalable, technology-led investment platform: our proprietary pricing platform delivers automated pricing to clients and partners.
As we enter the next stage of our development, we are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Trader to join our team and contribute to our business. This is a front-office role.
You will work closely with a highly experienced cross-asset team specialising in structured products, ranging from autocallables to credit-linked notes. The role primarily involves pricing complex derivative products and supporting business growth initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to the derivatives market, including pricing, trading, and marketing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor post-trade activities in primary and secondary markets
- Market-making for exchange-listed structured products
- Generate new trade ideas for the Sales team
- Price cross-asset solutions and structured products
- Hedge and manage the lifecycle of products issued through our proprietary issuance vehicle
- Develop new proprietary indices, including thematic baskets, systematic strategies, and ESG-focused solutions
- Implement new tools for pricing automation and basket optimisation
- Ensure effective collaboration with other teams, including Quants, Sales, and Operations

Candidate Profile:
- Exceptional academic record, ideally a Master’s degree in Financial Markets, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of derivatives and associated mathematical concepts
- Professional proficiency in English
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, VBA, Python
- Fluency in French or Italian is a plus
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp and apply new financial concepts effectively
- Capable of working under pressure, managing tight deadlines, and prioritising competing demands
- Confident and personable, able to build relationships with a diverse range of colleagues and clients

As an FCA-regulated firm, all our employees are subject to the FCA Conduct Rules. The successful candidate will be subject to background checks and, where the role requires certification under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, a fit and proper assessment and regulatory references.
