Junior Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator
Monday - Friday 9-5
£25'000 with excellent training and benefits package
A privately owned business in the retail supply chain is on the lookout for a Junior Transport Planner to help with daily route planning and vehicle scheduling.
This is a great opportunity for a Transport Administrator, Transport Coordinator, or someone with a logistics background looking for their next step, although full training will be given to the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily route planning and vehicle scheduling activities.
- Support the optimisation of routes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Control booking capacity for all sites, ensuring compliance with lead time SLAs.
- Liaise with customer service, warehouse, and operational teams to ensure smooth delivery execution.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, driver hours regulations and company policies.
- Produce daily vehicle utilisation reports for key stakeholders.
- Provide transport administration support to the planning team.

What We Are Looking For
The successful Junior Transport Planner will have:
- Previous route/transport planning, transport coordination, transport administration, or wider logistics experience of at least 12-months is desirable, BUT full training will be provided to the right person.
- Previous administrative experience is essential.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- 5x GCSE's (English and Maths included).
- Possess good attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Good communication skills.
- You should be reliable, trustworthy, and a good team player.
