This freelance opportunity is ideal for a junior video editor passionate about sports and digital storytelling. The role involves editing a variety of content, including sports documentaries, social media clips, trailers, interviews, and branded campaigns. You will transform raw footage into compelling, high-quality videos tailored for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The position is on-site in London or Essex for a few hours, with the possibility of future projects. Applicants should be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced production environment and eager to develop their skills in sports, film, and television content creation.

Deliverables

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos for social media and documentary projects
  • Create short-form and long-form content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure storytelling, pacing, and music choices align with project goals
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Prepare final video files for delivery and publication

Requirements

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and music selection
  • Experience editing both short-form and long-form video content
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their content requirements
  • Creative, reliable, and able to work independently on-site in London or Essex
  • Willingness to travel for on-site work as needed
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant editing experience
