About The Role

deVOL Kitchens is seeking an ambitious and motivated entry-level Junior Web Developer to join its dynamic Creative Design Team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in web development within a creative and fast-paced environment. As a Junior Web Developer, you will be instrumental in enhancing the online presence of deVOL Kitchens and its sister company, Floors of Stone. Your primary focus will be on improving user experience, maintaining existing websites, and supporting the development of new features across multiple international eCommerce platforms. This position is ideal for someone passionate about front-end development, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a growing company that values innovation and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

While professional experience is not a prerequisite, the ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML and CSS. A basic knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery is essential, along with familiarity with browser testing and debugging processes. Experience with version control systems such as Git will be advantageous. Knowledge of Shopify is highly desirable, given the company's eCommerce platforms. The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a keen eagerness to learn new skills. A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential qualities for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Improving the UI/UX of deVOL Kitchens' websites to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Maintaining and updating existing website code to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Building new web pages and features based on provided designs, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility.
  • Developing and supporting international eCommerce websites to facilitate global sales.
  • Assisting in testing new features and functionalities to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Collaborating with the creative and technical teams to implement innovative solutions.
  • Participating in regular code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
