Junior Website Content Editor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Website Content Editor to join our Marketing team.

Reporting to the Senior Content Editor, you will be responsible for creating new product listings, updating and maintaining product content, and supporting a variety of digital and customer communication channels. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop a career in content creation, digital marketing, or retail marketing. We welcome applications from graduates, college leavers, and candidates with a passion for writing and content creation, regardless of their educational background.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at the Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool, with hybrid working available.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with the Senior Content Editor and content team to support creating new product listings across various product categories
  • Assist in updating and maintaining website content including editing, proofreading and writing creative, SEO-friendly product descriptions, as well as uploading relevant product information and images
  • Communicating with internal teams, including Buying, for product knowledge and the in-house photography team to ensure image requests for the website are fulfilled
  • Creating news style content for new store openings
  • Supporting the creation and uploading of blog content, including researching ideas, writing copy and sourcing content
  • Assisting with the planning, creation and scheduling of customer-facing app push notifications to promote products, events and campaigns.
  • Supporting the development of engaging in-store radio scripts to communicate key promotions, seasonal campaigns and brand messages to customers.
  • Ensuring all content is accurate, on-brand and aligned with business objectives.

What you'll bring:

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to spelling, grammar and detail
  • A creative, enthusiastic mindset with a passion for retail, marketing and digital content
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to generate fresh and engaging content ideas across a range of channels
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills
  • A willingness to learn, develop and build a career within content and digital marketing
  • Relevant qualifications, degree-level education, marketing studies, content creation experience, or transferable skills are welcomed but not essential
