Junior Wood Machinist (Bespoke Joinery)

£30,000 - £35,000 + Weekdays Only + Training + Progression + Free On-Site Parking + Company Benefits

Location: Rugby

Are you an aspiring Machinist, who has experience operating manual machinery, looking to join a high-end and bespoke manufacturer, who supply to the likes of National Trust and English Heritage?

This company have built an outstanding reputation for producing luxury furniture and joinery for prestigious clients. In the early 2000s, the company was granted a Royal Warrant, exemplifying their prestigious manufacturing capabilities.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Machine Shop and work closely with an experienced machinist to further develop your skills. You will operate a variety of manual woodworking machines to manufacture high-quality components, ensuring the highest standards of precision, accuracy, and craftsmanship.

You will also be responsible for selecting appropriate materials and interpreting technical drawings to gain a thorough understanding of each project's design and construction requirements.

The Role

  • Shadowing senior members
  • Operating manual machinery to create precise components
  • Reading technical drawings to understand requirements
  • Selecting suitable materials

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 - 5:30

The Person

  • Background in woodworking or joinery
  • Practical experience operating a variety of manual machinery
