ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Junior YouTube Channel Manager to help keep our YouTube channels growing, fresh and performing at their best. You'll be hands-on with uploading and optimising videos and building playlists, and supporting the YouTube Channel Manager with digging into the data, spotting trends and figuring out what makes our audience tick.
This role would suit someone who is well versed in YouTube Studio and has spent time growing and managing a channel. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-moving music and entertainment business. You’ll be encouraged to think creatively, challenge the obvious and come up with new ways to test and improve our workflows and processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Channel Management & Monitoring
- Handle day-to-day scheduling and uploading for a portfolio of emerging YouTube channels and supporting our flagship channel.
- Manage the end-to-end upload process, including titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails
- Ensure video metadata requirements are met as well as monitoring, managing and escalating copyright claims
- Work with the Community Manager to monitor and engage with comments and audience activity across the channel

Analytics & Optimisation
- Monitor channel and video performance using YouTube Analytics and other relevant tools, working with the Data team to investigate and analyse drivers of content performance
- Support ongoing testing and optimisation of titles, thumbnails, metadata, publishing schedules and catalogue content
- Contribute to weekly performance reporting
Research & Experimentation support
- Help research new content, artists, genres, trends and audience opportunities
- Research playlists, keeping the catalogue and channel fresh
- Identify emerging trends and suggesting how they can be used
- Support channel growth experiments such as livestreams and new content formats
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- YouTube channel management experience - 1 to 2 years of proven experience managing or supporting a YouTube channel, ideally within a high-volume content environment with experience uploading and optimising video content.
- A high level of organisation and thoroughness - confident managing multiple channels, uploads and metadata with consistent attention to detail, utilising content calendars and publishing schedules.
- A dependable, hands-on work ethic - comfortable with steady, day-to-day operational work and ready to roll up your sleeves wherever necessary.
- An analytical and curious mindset - curious about performance data (YouTube Studio Analytics and beyond), keen to understand and use data analysis to support practical recommendations.
- Design Tool Proficiency: Photoshop or similar software for thumbnail creation.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience with copyright, content rights or content management
- Experience in music, entertainment or another fast-moving digital content environment
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro or similar software for video editing
- Experience in a small or scale-up company environment

- We're a small team, so you'll play a key role in keeping our powerhouse channel running smoothly, while also helping our growing channels build momentum.

- We operate a hybrid working policy at Sing King. We have set days in our Farringdon office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, with Monday and Friday being our home working days.
