Junior/Land Acquisition Associate – Renewable Energy - up to £35k
The Role
We are looking for a Junior/Land Acquisition Associate to support the identification, acquisition and management of land required for renewable energy projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with up to 1–3 years of relevant experience who is looking to develop their career within renewable energy and gain exposure to the full land acquisition and development process.
Working as part of a collaborative development team, you will support the identification of suitable sites, engagement with landowners and other stakeholders, and the preparation and management of land agreements and associated documentation.
The role will provide exposure to a broad range of activities across the renewable energy development process, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
Responsibilities
- Support the identification and assessment of potential land opportunities for renewable energy projects
- Assist with initial contact and ongoing communication with landowners and other relevant stakeholders
- Support negotiations relating to land leases, options and other land agreements
- Assist with the preparation, review and management of land-related documentation
- Maintain accurate records of landowners, agreements and project opportunities
- Support the wider development team in progressing projects through the development pipeline
- Liaise with internal teams, external consultants, landowners and local stakeholders
- Help identify and progress new business opportunities
- Monitor the status of land agreements and support the team in ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met
- Develop an understanding of local land markets, planning considerations and other factors relevant to renewable energy development

Requirements
- Up to 1–3 years' professional experience in land, property, real estate, rural surveying, renewable energy development or a related field
- An interest in renewable energy and the development of large-scale infrastructure projects
- Some experience dealing with landowners, property owners or other external stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good attention to detail, particularly when dealing with documentation and agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A commercial and proactive approach to work
- Ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
