We are working with a leading international law firm on an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer to join its highly regarded Real Estate Finance team in London.
The team advises major financial institutions, private equity investors, alternative lenders, real estate investors and developers on a broad range of sophisticated real estate finance transactions, both domestically and cross-border.
The Role
You will work closely with senior lawyers and clients on a varied and high-quality caseload, including:
- Acquisition and development finance
- Investment and portfolio financing
- Senior and mezzanine debt
- Refinancing and restructuring transactions
- Real estate-backed corporate and leveraged finance
- Loan-on-loan and fund financing
- Cross-border real estate finance matters
- Security, intercreditor and associated corporate documentation

The Candidate
We are looking for a UK-qualified lawyer, or an equivalent common-law qualified lawyer, with approximately 1–5 years' PQE and experience in real estate finance, banking & finance or a closely related practice.
You will ideally have:
- Strong technical legal skills and a solid grounding in finance documentation
- Experience working on real estate finance transactions, ideally acting for lenders and/or borrowers
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage matters effectively and work to demanding deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a high-performing international team
