JV Accountant Role – Castle Donington, Vistry North Midlands
In a Nutshell…
An exciting opportunity for a Joint Venture (JV) Accountant to join Vistry North Midlands, based at our Castle Donington office. As part of this role, you will support the Regional Financial Controller and Regional Finance Director, delivering financial and commercial analysis, reporting, and control with a focus on joint venture activities.

What we’re looking for
Essential Requirements
- Full membership of a major accounting body (ACA (ICAEW), ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience with joint ventures and LLP statutory reporting
- Strong Excel proficiency + excellent Microsoft Office, Outlook skills
- Exceptional analytical and organisational abilities
- Precision, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Clear communication of financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Experience delivering management accounts and financial reporting
- Team collaboration, honesty, and professional discretion
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet business deadlines

Key Attributes

- UK housebuilding experience (preferred, particularly with residential developers/contractors)
- COINS (ERP system) experience (considered an asset)
- Commercial acumen with holistic business understanding
Responsibilities & Key Duties
Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee joint venture budgets, forecasts, monthly management accounts, and year-end statistics against tight deadlines
- Compile management information (weekly/monthly) for internal and external stakeholders, including JV board reporting
- Manage the external audit process for joint ventures
- Monitor financial performance against targets to identify trends/risk and communicate findings
- Control overheads, accruals, prepayments and raise relevant journals
- Track sundry debtors and manage overdue accounts
- Process purchase orders and invoice coding for joint venture overhead costs
- Maintain and enhance financial reporting frameworks for joint ventures

Supportive & Collaborative Duties
- Provide ad hoc reporting/administrative support for JV activities
- Offer broader team support as needed
- Present insights to internal/external stakeholders clearly
