Required minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Kafka Admin Lead to manage, optimize, and secure our enterprise streaming infrastructure. In this role, you will take ownership of our Kafka environments, driving architecture decisions, operational stability, and cloud migrations.
Required Qualifications & Skillset:
- Kafka Administration: Deep, hands-on experience in administering large-scale Kafka environments.
- Confluent Expertise: Strong professional experience specifically with Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
- Architecture Knowledge: Proven ability to design and scale Kafka clusters for high-throughput environments.
- DevOps & Version Control: Proficiency with Git and modern DevOps/CI/CD toolchains for infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation.
- Ecosystem Comparison: Clear understanding of the differences, licensing, and feature sets between Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka.
- Security & Vulnerability Management: Experience hardening Kafka clusters, managing TLS/SSL, Kerberos/SASL authentication, and addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining monitoring stacks like Grafana and Prometheus, alongside Confluent-native monitoring solutions.
- Development Awareness: (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with Kafka Development concepts (producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, connectors) to effectively collaborate with development teams.
