At Key Assets New Zealand, our Kaiatawhai play a vital role in supporting mokopuna, strengthening mātua whāngai and helping create safe, stable and nurturing care environments. Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you’ll have opportunities to develop your practice while building meaningful relationships with children, carers, whānau and community partners.

Our mahi is grounded in trauma-informed practice and guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, bringing together social work, youth work, education and therapeutic approaches to support positive outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi.

What You’ll Do

  • Support foster carers, whānau and mokopuna through assessment, planning and ongoing support.
  • Build strong relationships with carers and community partners.
  • Contribute to recruitment, training and development initiatives for foster carers.
  • Work collaboratively with Oranga Tamariki and other key stakeholders.
  • Grow your professional practice through supervision, training and mentoring.
