KDB Developer – Fixed Income Electronic Trading
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced KDB Developer to join a front-office technology team powering electronic trading in Fixed Income. You'll collaborate daily with traders, quants and fellow engineers to improve the real-time pricing, trading and risk systems at the core of a revenue-generating business.
This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to trading workflows, fast delivery cycles and business stakeholders. If you enjoy tackling complex data and performance problems, and want to see the desk using your work in real time, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Do
- Build and enhance KDB+/q applications for pricing, trading and risk
- Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines, analytics services and APIs
- Work directly with traders and front-office stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Help design and evolve high-performance market data and time-series platforms
- Support monitoring, analysis and reporting on trading performance and market activity
- Take part in releases, production support and continuous improvement
- Help shape the team's technical standards, development practices and testing approaches

What You'll Bring
- Solid commercial experience with KDB+ and q, ideally in a front-office or trading environment
- A good grasp of real-time data processing and high-performance systems
- Strong Linux/Unix skills and familiarity with software development best practices
- Experience designing, testing and supporting business-critical applications
- The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
