Description
Seeking experienced KDB+ professionals with (2–8+ years dedicated KDB+/q experience) to support the development, enhancement, administration, and maintenance of a large-scale KDB platform supporting global Capital Markets businesses across Fixed Income, FX, and Equities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support KDB+ applications and platform components.
- Design and optimize solutions for real-time and historical market data processing.
- Manage and support large-scale KDB environments handling petabyte-scale data and 500+ users.
- Integrate KDB+ with real-time messaging platforms such as Solace, Kafka, and ION.
- Implement DevOps, automation, monitoring, and platform reliability practices.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure platform stability and scalability.

Required Skills
KDB+ & q
- Strong experience in KDB+ development, administration, and production support.
- Deep understanding of:
- q language, data structures, and datatypes
- Array-oriented programming
- q-SQL and KDB-specific joins (asof, window joins)
- KDB database architecture, storage, and query optimization
- Inter-process communication
- Tickerplant, RDB, HDB, Gateway, and chained process architectures
