Key Account Director – Finance & Insurance
Location: London (Hybrid)
The Opportunity
A private equity-backed maritime data and intelligence business is splitting its largest, most complex account book into dedicated sector teams, and this is a crucial appointment into that new structure. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this mandate is to grow and develop a specialist commercial function focusing on Finance and Insurance customers, inside a business moving from to an 18–20% growth ambition.
The Impact You Will Have
- Own commercial strategy and revenue for a multi-million pound book spanning the world’s leading banks, insurers and trade finance houses
- Lead and reshape a team of five to six account managers, shifting the function from renewal-led account management to proactive, consultative growth
- Unlock significant white space inside globally-owned accounts that are well established in London but materially under-penetrated internationally
- Translate complex risk, compliance and ownership-transparency data into board-level business cases for banking and insurance leaders
- Shape the 2027 go-to-market plan directly with senior leadership, with full executive sponsorship and genuine autonomy to redesign how the team sells

To be Successful in This Role You Will Have
- Commercial fluency in the financial services world; selling data or intelligence into finance or selling FinTech solutions
- Commercial credibility with C-suite, Heads of Compliance, CROs and Chief Underwriting Officers
- 8+ years in B2B SaaS, data, intelligence sales with a proven ability to lead a key account team and transform a team to proactive, value-led selling
- A track record of growing revenue, not simply retaining it, in a complex, considered-sale environment
- Genuine tenacity and drive, comfortable coaching, challenging and where necessary restructuring a team
