About the Job

This role is our first national Key Account & Fleet Sales Manager position dedicated to establishing and developing the strongest possible relationships with the UK’s largest LCV Van fleets and operators, that aligns to our strategy, products, services and ecosystem.

You will be the initial central Key Account & Fleet ambassador for our company, both internally and externally, driving the introduction of DELIVAN to those national accounts, opening doors, positioning our solution and delivering volume opportunities in the local market.

This field-based role is a critical function at HQ & an enabler to achieve our market entry and sales performance targets, supporting to firmly establish the Chery Commercial Vehicle UK’s presence in the UK market.

This does not stop at Sales, the expectation is you own the Fleet relationship from Sales and Aftersales, and have full access to internal escalation teams to ensure the delivery of solutions that those fleets require to maximum Uptime.

Key Responsibilities

Key Account Management & CRM

  • Develop and support the implementation of the UK fleet strategy in line with the Company’s business plan, product roadmap and sales targets.
  • Prepare and manage key account & fleet relationships, procurement requirements and marketing opportunities across fleets to ensure consistent brand positioning across all channels.
  • Develop customer presentations that are tailored to their fleet operations to optimise the effectiveness of our solutions

Dealer Development & Volume Management

  • Support on daily basis the dealer network in a co-ordinated approach for the delivery of fleet opportunities, incl. fleet updates, stock planning, pricing support, logistics, delivery and customer handover.

Product Management

  • Incorporation of the complete Vehicle product and service solutions to fleet customers, incl. but not limited to, bodybuilder conversions, fleet management software, subscriptions APIs, Apps, Uptime, Services plans, Extended warranties, Financing, Insurance, Charging - to optimise our ecosystem positioning, drive our TCO competitiveness, and deliver on sales volume targets

Demo Fleet

  • Utilise effectively and continuously the national demo fleet with national Key accounts & fleets incl. the planning and execution of longer term seed vehicles incl. body conversion requirements.

Operational Execution

  • Effective Planning & Reporting of Volume requirements and Discounts.
  • Be the operational link pin to Sales & Aftersales teams internally for Fleet topics
  • Ensure professional handover and training to end user fleets, and assume total responsibility for fleet relationship; Sales & Aftersales

Qualifications

Education

  • Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or related fields
  • Education certifications will be required as part of back ground checks before employment

Professional Experience

Experience and Skills

  • Min. 10 years Fleet experience, within commercial vehicle industry
  • Proven experience of developing and delivering business with the UK’s largest Van and/or Truck fleets, leasing and financial solution providers
  • Strong experience of managing pricing, discounts, planning and reporting
  • Experience with Chinese Automotive OEMs is additional benefit

Technical Competencies

  • Strong technical product specification background in Van and/or Truck segments, across both Sales (Product) & Aftersales (Services)
  • Expert in conversion and bodybuilder modification process (technical & commercial element)
  • Strong familiarity with Uptime & Telematics systems, functionality and customer requirements
  • Ability to independently prepare technical proposals, RFQs, Tenders and Commercial proposals

Communication and Coordination Skills

  • Ability to independently organize and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders and external organisations & professionally manage, track and report progress on multiple workstreams at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Good team collaboration spirit
  • Strong resilience

Leadership Abilities

  • Strong topic / thought leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Strong internal & external communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to independently organize and develop fleet relationships, track and report progress

Work Environment

  • Delivering results in fast-paced and dynamic environments
  • Ability to work effectively across different functions, cultures and locations.
  • Flexibility to working hours in order to coordinate with China HQ (earlier mornings possible in the UK)
  • Represents company locally in UK when communicating with internal and external organizations

Other Specifications

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK regularly, including overnight stays.
