Ambiente Systems Ltd, established in 2006, specializes in the design, manufacture, and supply of hydronic underfloor heating systems to trade customers. As demand for underfloor heating has grown, the company has expanded and refined its product range to remain at the forefront of the market. Ambiente focuses solely on underfloor heating, enabling deep technical expertise and reliable system performance. The team is committed to treating every enquiry with a high level of care and attention, supporting partners with dependable products and service. Role Description

The Key Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hatfield, responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with key trade partners and distributors. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining regular contact with key accounts, understanding their technical and commercial needs, and offering underfloor heating solutions that align with project requirements.

  • Supporting tender submissions
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as technical design, logistics, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Monitoring account performance
  • Identifying growth opportunities
  • Preparing account plans to increase sales and market share
  • Handling escalations
  • Gathering feedback from customers
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of products and services

Qualifications

  • Strong account management skills, including experience handling key accounts and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and support effective business planning and forecasting.
  • Customer service skills to provide responsive, professional support and manage enquiries and issues effectively.
  • Experience in business planning, including setting targets, developing account plans, and tracking performance.
  • Background in HVAC, heating systems, construction supply, or a related technical trade environment is highly beneficial.
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present solutions and influence stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, email) for managing accounts and reporting.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hatfield, collaborate closely with internal teams, and occasionally visit customer locations as required.
  • Relevant vocational training or a degree in business, engineering, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent experience is valued.
