As our Key Account Manager, you’ll be part of the Commercial team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Sales Manager. You’ll be right at the heart of fast-moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.
WHERE YOU CONTRIBUTE
The Key Account Manager drives strategic and commercial performance through partnerships with major retail accounts. This role ensures that Dr. Martens’ brand positioning and commercial objectives are delivered consistently across wholesale channels, balancing global frameworks with local execution. It is pivotal in achieving profitable growth, market share expansion, and consumer engagement through strong account relationships and disciplined planning.
Core Accountabilities
As our Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing strategic account plans, aligning joint business plans with global commercial priorities and market objectives to drive sustainable growth across key retail partners.
- Driving commercial performance, owning sell-in and sell-through results, revenue and margin targets while leading forecasting and assortment planning to optimise inventory and minimise obsolete stock.
- Building and managing senior customer relationships, acting as the primary liaison between Dr. Martens and strategic accounts and influencing outcomes across internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading seasonal Go-To-Market execution, coordinating product launches and campaigns while ensuring retail partners deliver against agreed brand, merchandising, pricing and promotional standards.
- Using data and consumer insight to drive account growth, analysing performance, market trends and customer behaviour to inform assortment, pricing and promotional strategies, improve customer lifetime value and enhance the consumer experience.

Key Skills & Capabilities
Put simply, the key things we’re looking for are:
- Strong wholesale and retail expertise, with a deep understanding of fashion and footwear markets and proven experience managing key accounts within a premium brand environment.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with experience in financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis and using data to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Excellent account management and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build senior-level relationships, negotiate effectively and manage high-volume retail accounts.
- Strong organisational and delivery skills, able to plan and prioritise effectively, manage multiple commercial priorities and deliver consistently against targets.
- A commercially astute, consumer-focused and collaborative mindset, driven by results and committed to working in line with the Dr. Martens values of Be Yourself, Act Courageously and Show You Care.
