Osprey Engineering Solutions are working with a well-established UK B2B engineering and manufacturing technology business. An established leader in supply, servicing, and management of automation solutions, working with a range of blue-chip manufacturers to enhance productivity and safety.

About the Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing high-level account strategies to drive business growth, foster long-term client relationships, and maximise revenue opportunities within automation. You will be responsible for managing strategic key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a track record of success in B2B sales, key account management, and solution selling within the industrial sector.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and implementing strategic account plans to drive growth and retention across key accounts
  • Cultivating strong relationships with senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within client organisations
  • Identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential high-value prospects
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical service, and operations, to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs
  • Leading contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service agreements to ensure profitable and sustainable partnerships
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business development strategies
  • Providing regular account performance updates, forecasting, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Driving continuous improvement in customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty
  • Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience in strategic key account management, business development, or sales leadership within the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering sectors
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing large, complex accounts
  • Strong ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with both company and customer goals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data, market trends, and customer insights
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools
