Role: Key Account Manager

Hexcel is currently seeking a Key Account Manager for our Duxford, UK location, however, remote working from Southwest UK could be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining profitability and working within budget.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase market share and drive growth.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key customers and prospects.
  • Protect and grow existing business while securing new sales opportunities.
  • Support customers with technical queries, coordinating specialist assistance where required.
  • Prepare and provide accurate customer information for sales planning and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor and report market, commercial, and technical developments within assigned territories.
  • Contribute to short, medium, and long-term sales forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Negotiate pricing, supply arrangements, and contract extensions within agreed parameters.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development role.
  • Background knowledge of composites and/or the aerospace industry is desirable.
  • Experience working within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a matrix organization.
  • International outlook with willingness and ability to travel as required.
