Key Account Manager

An exciting opportunity to become an integral member of the key account team for this highly respected independent foodservice wholesaler that invests heavily in setting its people up for success and is making great strides in the industry.

Their success rests on a simple belief: put the customer at the heart of everything. Being independent gives them the freedom to move fast, stay flexible and always do the right thing. They champion fresh ideas, reward initiative and back their people to grow.

As their field sales team expands, they're looking for a driven Key Account Manager who loves the hunt for new business just as much as nurturing existing relationships.

This is a field-based role where you will own a portfolio of existing accounts while actively bringing new customers on board.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of sales and margin performance, with a focus on delivering strong commercial results
  • Identifying, developing and securing profitable new customer opportunities
  • Monitoring and responding to relevant tenders, building compelling opportunities from initial enquiry through to conclusion
  • Strengthening existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase sales and profitability
  • Building trusted customer relationships through regular contact and consistently high levels of service
  • Collaborating with colleagues and suppliers to uncover sales opportunities, improve margins and broaden product knowledge
  • Keeping customer, sales and reporting information accurate, up to date and completed within required deadlines

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
