Position: Health Service Manager (KAM)

Territory: South Wales & South West

Salary: Competitive

Overview:

Inizio Engage is delighted to be partnering with an innovative pharmaceutical company focused on medicine optimisation and patient compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation committed to advancing science and improving outcomes for patients in various different therapeutic specialties.

As a Health Service Manager, you'll be expected to effectively interact with payers, clinicians and other key decision makers and influencers across primary and secondary care to deliver Account Plan outcomes - developing and improving the local business with your line manager. This role is suited for somebody with experience in (branded) generics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ACCOUNT PLANNING

Accountabilities

  • Identification of areas of customer/account alignment around the relevant brand and disease areas, and plans strategy to approach key stakeholders ensuring advocacy development based on local environmental knowledge and healthcare delivery
  • Spots opportunities and develops business cases that identifies the appropriate investment level for developing profitable business within the customer portfolio
  • Makes financial decisions in line with assigned budgets

EFFECTIVE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

Accountabilities

  • Accountable and responsible for successful delivery of agreed payer and clinician facing actions in the local account plan
  • Delivers high value interactions, drawing on other resources as required to deliver brand and disease specific value propositions
  • Leverage the value and expertise of the entire organization to coordinate resources to present "one face to the customer" in order to build long term relationships while meeting short term revenue objectives

LEADERSHIP/STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

Accountabilities

  • Leadership across the team and cross functionally to ensure the plan is effectively locally operationalized in line with brand and customer strategies
  • Identifies best practice and shares these with the wider HSM group and line manager
  • Develops customer insights and regional variation to share with marketing and help shape the campaign

MARKET ACCESS

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for influencing key stakeholders by delivering compelling brand value proposition to ensure optimal formulary and guidelines positions across the portfolio
  • Responsible for mobilizing team to coordinate access and alignment between all stakeholders engaged in formulary decisions
  • Work with all relevant stakeholders to support the development and implementation of brand and disease specific propositions

SALES OUTCOMES

Accountabilities

  • Ensure sales targets are met through account planning excellence delivery of personal objectives and collaboration with the line manager to ensure flawless execution
  • Ensures sales targets are met through advocacy management and excellence in customer facing activities
  • Drive competitiveness in local markets

REGULATORY &/OR ORGANISATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Full adherence to Company Rules, Health and Safety, the Bribery Act and ABPI Code of Practice
  • Responsible for upholding the professional image of the company at all times
  • Responsible for attaining high levels of product knowledge competitor, therapy area and environmental knowledge of promoted lines and successful completion of relevant assessments

MINIMUM EDUCATION/DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree level education
  • ABPI qualification
  • IT literate (MS, Word, XL, PPT and Outlook)
  • Ideally a clean driving license with maximum of 6 points

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES)

  • Excellent experience of formulary & patient pathways
  • Up to date NHS knowledge
  • Commercial acumen
  • Submission of business proposals and business case submission

JOB COMPLEXITY

The HSM role will encompass a multitude of roles and skill sets to include: working with external customers to develop the company's commercial offerings to large health economies, writing and implementing industry leading account plans, activity and resource allocation whilst aligning these plans to national and local NHS strategy documents and finally cascading national brand plans into local actionable outcomes. We are looking for somebody with years of experience in Pharmaceutical Sales.
